^.^ Von Erlenbach Kunstschule. It is about some we are done for... :)
También os daréis cuenta del mal estado en elque quedó mi inglés ya que me fui de allí sin hablar ninguno de los tres idiomas que se supone hablo...
You will also realize about my crappy English due to the fact that when I left from Germany I did not speak any of the three languages which I supposedly speak...
También encontraréis uno de los vídeos que grabé con la crítica de los ejercicios realizados por los alumnos. ¿Cómo sabía cuándo comenzaba o finalizaba la crítica si era en alemán? La suerte del principiante... :P
You will also find one of the videos I recorded with the review of the exercises done by the students. How did I know when began and finished it if it was in German? Beginner's luck... :P

My dear friend...
feels like you are getting absorbed by the Alkorkonish atmosphere, the one that makes you feel that everything is impossible to achieve, because you have to get money to buy food, clothes, and buy a flat, a car and go on holidays. Well, as an ancient and wise man, US have to say: FUCK IT!!!!
Do you want a better payed job and more hours a week? Maybe I just misunderstood that you are willing to quit your artistic hour work to be piling goods in a store 40 hours a week? Don't pull my leg, please!!! I mean, the salary is going to be the same more or less, you are going to be dealing with a kind of people that is unhealthy for you plus you will get depressed because you're not doing what you really like... then, after work, you are so tired that go to sleep, or tto yoga and in the weekends get pissed out of youre head, so you can deal with de depression, or better forget your boring everyday life... c'mon, gimme a break!!!
Of course, that's just my experience, but I'm afraid that is quite typical.
So, why don't you try something a little bit more risky and creative, like city council (in the gardens, cleaning streets, collecting the thrashbins, etc...) well, I'm joking, but it is better anyway than the shop clerk option. Another option is, for example, in a cinema, playing films; ask around!!! I'm afraid I cannot offer you my contacts but is worth trying. Or in a shop selling to art students pencils? Or why not try some other artistic proyect, like: about how fucked up is be a woman born in a working class family, live in a Europe's capital suburban area infested with drugs and violence, have an alcoholic father with mental problems, a bigger brother which runs away of the place and avoid any kind of responsibility linked to the life in the place, an smaller brother which is addicted to consumption, a mother which is unable to be relaxed and enjoy and a grand mother which is suffering her last years connected to an oxygen machine, while trying to get a "safe job" (obsession of working class), artistic life style (illusion of sensitive youngsters) during the world biggest ever know financial crisis of all times? (real or not)...
Whow!!! I shouldn't give to you this ideas!!! I should do it myself!!! Or should we do it together? Or is this just one of my mystical speeches that have nothing to do with the reality and we should just forget about it?
However, PLEASE, don't give up your dreams. Fight for them!!! Nothing sweet and fulfilling comes with no suffering, but the suffering shouldn't kill off our dreams, and goal maybe shouldn't get a stable job and a monthly salary. Life can be something else too, luckily for some.
I'm absolutely shocked. Nice speech, nice ideas (maybe for a comic contest...). However, I haven't said anything about quiting from drawing or so. I just want to be logic. I feel my next step in life is moving after getting a monthly-paid job. By no means will I get satisfied with that. Actually, I'm uploading my works into other digital plataforms and will update also my website... I'm preparing a comic for a contest in Madrid and I will probably participate with a poster. I'm on it! :)
"next logical step"... sorry, I might sound skeptical, but that is the logical step for some people, not for everybody.
Anyway, by filling up shelves 8 hours a day 5 times a week, you must get as much money as you are getting now by doing few hours a week, so it makes no sense... the thrash collector though... there is a lot of money, actually.
Anyway, we have been reading lately a lot biographic comics: Persepolis, Palestina, Epilectic, Fun House, Mouse, and others (chek the net, you can donload them)... and I think they are really cool. I think it would be better to do it first, like feeling it, using it as a therapy, an then, when is finished and you are happy with it, you can bring it to a publisher... I donno about contests; maybe some contest abroad? anyway, when joinin a contest, I think you give up the ownership of the piece to the organizers, and I think that is not a good idea. Again, check the names I wrote and check the authors: they've got their own web pages, work for publishers and still owns at least past of the rights of their pieces of art; in the bes of the cases, they have published themselves.
