Monegros and Benidorm

Ya estamos de vuelta. Tras más de una semana de convivencia en grupo, hemos regresado todos de la mejor forma que hemos podido.

We are back. After longer than a week living together, we have come back in the best shape we could.


De procesión al desierto / Procession to the desert

Monegros fue más tranquilo de lo que había pensado, al menos para mí. Nada más conocía a un par de DJs de oídas, los únicos a los que vi. Aparcamos relativamente cerca de la entrada, fácil de encontrar, no como en el resto de festivales a los que he ido, y tras refrescarnos y encontrar al resto de la manada, enseguida nos metimos al mogollón.

Monegros was more quiet than I have thought, at least for me. I only new two of the DJs, I only have heard about them, the guys whose sessions I attended. We parked relatively closed to the entrance, easy to find, not like in many other festivals in which I have been, and after cooling down and finding the rest of the guys, we soon get into the concerts area.

Por lo visto el recinto no estaba tan superpoblado como otros años, así que pudimos evitar empujones y meternos en peleas que no nos concernían.

It seems that the place was not as overcrowded as in other editions, so we could avoid pushes and fights.

Orbital

Dormimos en el coche, todos bien apretaditos y con los consecuentes dolores de cuerpo entero y al día siguiente, de vuelta a casa.

We slept all together in the car, cramped and with some aches in the whole body the next morning. The tha after it, go back home.

Ésto es uno con artritis, uno con gota, una con la tensión baja y dos muchachos normales, que se van a Benidorm. ¿Cómo se llama la película? Pues sí, por eso digo que cada uno regresó como puedo, porque ya íbamos con síntomas diversos y cada cual volvió con más o con menos. Por mi parte, el segundo día tuve un bajón de tensión de esos míos, tan conocidos ya por Pablo y por mi madre. Como consecuencia, decidí recluirme en el apartamento hasta que pasase el calor más fuerte, a las 18:30, para bajar a la playa. Así que el plan de cada día quedaba así: pisci por la mañana, intentar comer algo en el apartamento, siesta, playa por la tarde hasta las 20h y un rato más de piscina. Intentar cenar algo y salir, si acaso, con los chicos.

One guy suffering arthritis, another gout, a girl with low blood pressure and two common guys, go together to Benidorm. What is the movie? Yeah, that is why I say each one has come back in the best shape he/she could, because we already had our symptoms and came back with more or less of them. As far as me is concerned, the second day I suffered one of my blood pressure falls, arch-known by Pablo and my mother. As a consecuence of this, I decided to shut myeself away in the apartment until the stronger worm had passed, at 18:30, to go to the beach. The the planning for each day was like this: swimming pool at mornings, try to eat something in the apartment, a nap, beach during the afternoon until 20h and a bit more pool. Try to have something for dinner and go out, whenever it was possible, with the guys.

El viernes salimos a tomar algo por la zona guiri. Para ello, tuvimos que coger un bus que nos llevó hasta la zona de Levante, andar un buen rato y esquivar a todos los que habían tenido la misma idea. Si en el área en la que teníamos el apartamento se podía estar tan tranquilo, aquí estaba completamente abarrotado. Además, no había forma de ponernos deacuerdo en qué bar entrar, con lo cual andábamos como vagando sin rumbo hasta que nos decidimos.

We went out to the foreing area on Friday night. We had to take a bus which brought us to Levante, walk quite long and avoid all the people who had the same idea. Being the area where we had the apartment so quiet, here it was absolutely crowded. Moreover, there was no way of agreing about where to go, so we roamed around until we finally decided.

Tras tomar algo por la zona, nos dieron publicidad de un bar que estaba en el interior, pero que tenía zona de rock y de house, con lo cual podíamos estar cada uno a lo nuestro en el mismo lugar y sin estar de morros. El sitio en cuestión se llama RockStar. Se divide en tres plantas y tiene unas terrazas inmensas para tomártela fuera. Cuando llegamos había un concierto de metal, en el que tocaba tres chavales extrangeros, y poco público. El caso es que el sitio tiene buena pinta y siempre están organizando conciertos y cosillas. Interesante para el que vaya a la playa y no quiera aguantar a los fiesteros.

After having something around, we get some fyers about a bar which was in the inland, tought it has rock and house areas, so we could be where we were confortable and all together in the same place. That place was RackStar. It is divided in three floors and have inmense areas outside where having your drink. When we arrived, there was a metal gig carried out by three foreing guys and too little audience. The thing is that it looks nice and they are allways planning concerts and activities. Interesting for those who go to the beach anddo not want to bear party animals.
